What’s special about a Sycamore Tree?
In the ancient story of Zacchaeus, we find him burdened with a problem and struggling in the crowd to see the man they called Jesus. He climbed a sycamore tree to get a better view and ultimately met the transforming solution to his problem.
What often gets overlooked in this story is the tree. Sycamore trees can live for over 2000 years. While we don’t know exactly when the sycamore tree in this story was planted, we know it had been there for some time.
